Abstract:
The great benefits of storytelling have been innumerable since immemorial times. As Farrell (1991, 38) highlights “storytelling has been a fundamental means of instruction mainly addressed to the preschool stage”. Since 1960, with the publication of Wanda Gag’s Millions of Cats, there has been an increase interest for Picture books, specially at early stages, because of the chief role images have towards words.

Throughout the article we will see the benefits of introducing picture books through an ICT tool called Storyboard in CLIL settings. The 4 presented storyboards have as a common ground to work specific grammar topics implicitly (sequence connectors, relative clauses and verbal tenses) through different subjects taught in bilingual settings in Primary (Science, Arts, History).

Notwithstanding, few studies prove the real impact of technological devices among young learners, we can affirm they present the following benefits: increase both the individual and group practicality, monitor students with a personalized response, involve students for longer periods of time and foster cooperation, interaction and classroom atmosphere.
