Abstract:
This paper presents advances from the research project "Cyber-intervention in Social Work: articulations between ICT and social work". The research work focuses on the analysis of the links between Social Work and digital technologies, emphasizing the positioning of the discipline in the framework of the information society. The articulations that occur between human experiences and the massification of digital technologies define particular dynamics of life, typical of the global information society. Understanding the role of ICTs in the context of contemporary society's practices implies a need for interpretation and explanation by the social sciences from particular references. Particularly, in the disciplinary field of Social Work, the attention of people and groups, object of its activity, must be thought from the referents of the information society, in the same way, the technological tools can represent possibilities to support the capacity of the professionals to intervene to the populations in conditions of vulnerability. The reflection deals, therefore, with epistemological and methodological aspects that define the field of action and reflection of the discipline in the "relatively new" context of a knowledge society, a field that delimits, in a certain way, the dynamics of social life, confronting the relevance of social sciences. In this way, it aims at the construction of possible lines of reflection to promote debate in the contexts of formation of Social Work students. Keywords:
Social Work, ICT, Cyber-Intervention.
