Abstract:
The pandemic by COVID-19 has brought a new reality to classrooms. The traditional teaching model was substituted by the videoconferencing system and, with more or less success, the objectives were achieved. However, the reality was not the same for all students, particularly for the trainees, who saw the normal context of their practical on-the-job training change.

Through a case study and a quantitative method, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on trainees of the Higher Technical Professional Courses will be evaluated. A questionnaire will assess the major difficulties experienced by trainees, the gaps in training that resulted from the successive lockdowns, and the challenges of carrying out practical training during the period when pandemic countermeasures were in place.

In terms of results, it is expected that, despite all the constraints, the previous training during the course and the practical training itself in the internship will not have been impaired and that the trainees will evaluate their performance positively.
