Abstract:
In recent years some movements and studies have been transforming the Mathematical Courses in the Universities. For example the Calculus Reform Movement or The Linear Algebra Curriculum Study, which are nowadays references for any work involving Mathematics Learning and Teaching at a University level. It is not a merely coincidence that this happens with the development of Computers that make an essential part in classrooms environment in the Universities worldwide.
Those reforms have been accelerated by the Bologna Process that introduced a structural change in European Universities. We study the changes of the Mathematics Disciplines taught in Undergraduate Courses at Portuguese Universities, after Bologna considering, mainly, their number and curricula. Furthermore we explore in more details the case of Linear Algebra providing some issues for further discussions.
