Abstract:
In this work we present a curricular development program for basic mathematics. We drawn up a program based on competences and not on content as has traditionally been the case for this subject. We present also the design for the adapted activities integrated in a digital portfolio, which will be created by our student throughout the course through the Moodle Platform, as well as the evaluation method for the skills based on this activities. The portfolio should include all the products that the student has developed throughout the course. By revising this portfolio, we should be able to know what competencies the students have attained and which have been put into practice for each of the products. For the teacher, this entails not only a mere compilation of isolated activities, but also the implementation of a group of activities according to the educational objectives established. These activities complement the lessons and help the student develop competencies in the subject.
In order to get better results in the course, each student will establish a contract with the teacher at the beginning of each academic year. In this contract, apart from the compulsory part of portfolio, they will also be committed to do optional activities which will enable him to develop these competencies to a greater degree. This contract is revised through the academic year. In this way, from the beginning of the course the teacher has information about what competencies and what level students aim to reach. Through the revision, the teacher can also perceive whether students have a real awareness of their possibilities, knowledge of initial competencies, etc.
