Abstract:
Resilience is the human capacity to face and be strengthened or transformed by experiences of adversity. Objectives: To analyze the levels of resilience in students from the Health School at the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas. Method: This cross-sectional, quantitative research, applying specific instrument valid for the Portuguese language that is divided into three factors: factor 1: actions and values, factor 2: independence and determination, and factor 3: self-confidence and adaptability. Were considered resilient those who scored >72.8, the factor 1; >18.4 in factor 2 and >25.6 in factor 3. Results: The mean resilience of the nursing students were: 86.4 in factor 1, 22 in factor 2 and 29.1 in the factor 3, for the medical students were 82.3, 30.3 and 22 and for dental: 83.7, 21.7 and 30.9 in factors 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Conclusion: The levels of resilience were considered good. It was observed that resilience gives grants to educators for planning and teaching what has become possible to identify what the students need in order to have both social and academic progress, acquiring relevant when considering the integral human development.Keywords:
