DESIGNING LEARNING OBJECTS EMBEDDED ON A ONLINE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR PEOPLE WITH DYSLEXIA THAT AFFECTS READING ABILITY
The main causes of school learning problems are intellectual factors, mental disorders, language, cognitive disorders, emotional problems, behavioral problems, physical defects, visual or hearing impairments and chronic illnesses. Bakwin Harry (1974).
This research will take place around the condition of dyslexia which according to Rose J. (2009) is a learning difficulty that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling. Characteristic features of dyslexia are difficulties in phonological awareness, verbal memory and verbal processing speed.
The Dyslexia is a learning disability that has been well documented and have encountered problems that arise from this disease including hearing problems, motor, attention deficit among other students suffering from an early age and affects the performance in the classroom in a high percentage, more specifically in this research we focus on the type of condition that affects reading ability declining and encouraging student learning. This condition currently known as "Reading Disorder" and different types have been identified as the Gnosic-praxis, Dysgraphia, Aphasia, Auditory processing disorder, Mixed.
This has begun to attract the interest of specialists in the field of education since there is much research done on the problem of dyslexia but very little that focuses on the development of learning objects that operate online and are specialized for students suffering from any type of dyslexia.
Doing a research for the design and development of objects that will help this condition together with all its variants is extensive to cover so in the present research we focus the most common type, which according to statistics from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) is the Reading delay, Gnosic-praxis by developing several object types, some examples are: detection of the disease, improvement in reading, visual support, etc.. These running through an online platform accessible from any point for access from any device.
