Abstract:
Traditional forms of assessment, considered as a means to quantitatively measure students' progress, must evolve towards more participatory methods. Self-assessment and peer-assessment, as more inclusive forms, should be part of this process. Critical training for students towards their peers and themselves provides skills that go beyond mere learning, equipping them with leadership and self-criticism competencies that are highly necessary both in professional and social life. Our study analyses the knowledge and agreement level with these assessment methods among students taking the Marketing Strategies courses in the Degree in Business Administration and Management and the Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management, and the optional course Business Simulator in Marketing. The objective is to compare these results with those obtained in previous years to check their acceptance and their ability to promote critical and reflective training for students. Among the main results obtained in this longitudinal analysis, the increase in familiarity with these concepts, satisfaction with their use, and the appropriateness of this type of assessment stand out, especially as the practical training of the course increases.
