Abstract:
Contemporary society places emphasis on flexibility, originality and new approaches, therefore it is a teacher's duty to cultivate independence and creative thinking in pupils at primary schools, and teachers should not be afraid to experiment or use new alternative approaches in teaching. There are many factors that influence creativity. Some are closely related to it, some have only a minor impact. The complexity of the structure of personality traits suggests that to determine a clear-cut relation is not possible. Does a different culture, living conditions and education influence creativity? Are there differences in nonverbal creative abilities between pupils in Turkey and pupils in the Czech Republic? Are there differences in creativity between the genders?
