Abstract:

The development of the ‘digital’ economy in Russia is an important strategic direction that determines the competitiveness of the country in the national and global market. However, the success of digitalization of different industries is possible only if the digital platform is adequate to modern requirements. Every company needs to know the degree of compliance of the existing potential conditions of implementation and effective functioning of digital technology. The methodology developed at the end of the last century for the grain storage and processing enterprises was used as a basis for the industry, what allowed timely updating of the equipment fleet, determining competitive opportunities, and the need for investment in the development of technical capacity. The relevance of the assessment of the technical and economic level of enterprises to determine the digital platform specifies the topic of this study. The research involved teachers and graduate students of Moscow State University of Food Production, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, as well as a group of experts (17 leading teachers and specialists in the field of industry technologies).

The aim of this study was to determine the conditions for the introduction of digital technologies based on the assessment of the technical and economic level of enterprises. In this regard, the objectives of technical and economic analysis are determined as: 1) improving the scientific and economic feasibility of developing business plans and internal production standards; 2) evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of labor, material and financial resources; 3) search for reserves at all stages of production and sales of products; 4) preparation of analytical materials (proposals) for management decisions on the implementation of the identified reserves; 5) determining the readiness for the introduction of digital technologies at enterprises. The use of these guidelines and recommendations by enterprises will provide a platform for the accelerated introduction of digital technologies. This technique has been tested at JSC Flour mill “Voronezh”, that allowed to obtain efficient results, including significant facilitation of the procedure for assessing the technical and economic level of enterprises, as well as to identify the possibility to form a digital platform. However, this problem requires more attention in terms of practice and monitoring of the implementation of scientific and technological progress, as the proposed evaluation criteria and methods of selection of information support of production processes allow to minimize the risks of implementation of the system in various departments of enterprises, as well as to ensure the functionality of the system for technological processes, the achievable quality of system integration with existing information flows in the enterprise, to achieve the required level of performance and customizability of information systems.
