Abstract:
Teaching MicroPython with the support of a single-chip miniature computer Micro: bit is becoming an increasingly popular subject of programming in high schools. The main reasons preventing even greater expansion include the distrust of some educators in this hardware and software, caused, among other things, by the lack of appropriate literature. Therefore, our goal was to prepare suitable materials to support teaching.
These materials mainly contain worksheets for students and methodological instructions for teachers with advice on how to use these worksheets. All these materials are available online and we have prepared appropriate workshops for them. This paper describes the prepared materials and their structure and recommendations on how to use them. At the same time, we present the experience from the first workshops.
The structure of the resulting materials fulfills the concept of polytechnic education called STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and thus meets the requirements for modern teaching of technical disciplines. Keywords:
