Abstract:
Nowadays, sports are an essential part of the majority of children, either its practice or because some top sportsmen become model for them. Knowing this hyper-influence of the sports over the children, some indispensable values such as teamwork, effort, overcoming or respect and commitment can be inculcated at educative centres by means of activities in the syllabus of physical education subject.

But sport can also represent a deeper knowledge manager, developing further necessary competences of the current society like cultural awareness and expression, the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship or social and civic competences.

In this work, is pretended to highlight the necessity of students, at the earliest age possible, of learning about the importance of the teamwork not only in the sports part of life, but also in the social and cultural ones. To do so, a certain number of strategies and activities are going to be considered that will enhance the acquisition of that knowledge using a high participative methodology focused on first grade students which will encourage the quick integration of the contents inside the subject of physical education. At the same time, some social competences were developed and the knowledge of children in several foreign countries was extended by means of their typical sports.
