Abstract:
One of the problems of a modern engineering and technological university is the organization of a digital educational space and effective control of student learning outcomes. An individual learning path is a necessary strategy in today's educational environment. Strategy, as a rule, includes setting personal goals among the many disciplines studied, on the one hand, and the introduction of a rating system of assessment, on the other hand. This requires the formation of a new approach to organizing decision-making in order to build an individual student learning path and take into account the learning outcomes. In this paper, the authors present the basic principles of automation of accounting for student learning outcomes.
An important problem is that teachers, when giving final grades based on learning outcomes, are often guided by their own scale of coefficients, reflected in the technological maps of educational disciplines. This also forms additional requirements for the developed information system for recording student learning outcomes.
This problem is acute also in the case of the implementation of double degree programs, network educational programs, individual learning path by universities, since transparent accounting, the possibility of crosscutting and mutual accounting of the results of educational activities becomes a paramount task.
As part of solving this problem, a study of the subject area was carried out, an analysis of existing information systems was carried out, a model of the functioning of the activities of employees of the educational department for recording student learning outcomes, a model for registering student learning outcomes, requirements for information systems for registering student learning outcomes were developed.
Based on the developed model «Student learning outcomes tracking system» a logical-informational model of the individual path of student learning at the university is proposed. Both models are collections of databases, represented by information about students, results of current and intermediate certification, progress and reporting. The models are built within the hierarchical structure of the university. These models enable practical implementation of the concept of an individual learning path with minimal expenditure of time and other resources. Keywords:
