Abstract:
Our ever changing world is continuously challenging the reconfiguration of learning scenarios. One critical goal regarding this transformation is to reduce the digital divide, improving school and technological infrastructures, and enhancing Education quality. This is considered to be a strategical priority for many governments worldwide, and the integration of new educational technologies (EdTech) in learning ecosystems is a growing reality in the different geographies. Challenges emerge in the implementation of this transformative process to successfully reach effectiveness and quality, and training the educational stakeholders tends to be crucial to address these issues. Capitalizing on several years of research and EdTech project implementation worldwide, JP-ik, a Portuguese company, developed the ik-Learning training, a training offer built upon a comprehensive integrative framework (the ik-Model) and aligned with the UNESCO principles for ICT integration and its ICT competency framework for teachers. The ik-Learning training will be explored in its conceptual, processual and strategical axes and some evidences of its implementation worldwide will be shared, proving its effectiveness as a global approach that contextually addresses each component of an EdTech integrative project towards an effective transformation of learning scenarios.
