The introduction of new technologies brings changes in the nature of work tasks, but also changes in the requirements for the competences necessary to fulfil these tasks. The paper discusses the specifics of employee education that arise in industrial enterprises according to the implementation of current highest level of collaborative automation. It is needed to analyse the requirements for targeted education of all employees at the workplaces that are equipped with collaborative robots (cobots). This group of employees includes workers who are in direct contact with the cobots and share their workplace with them, working "shoulder to shoulder". Part of the educational process is the emphasis on strengthening the acceptance of cobots by employees, the intention is to "make human and cobot friends", to find a sustainable modus vivendi within the framework of a win-win strategy using ISO 10015:2019 Quality management — Guidelines for competence management and people development. Keywords:
