Abstract:

This paper deals with entrance exams courses of mathematics. It means preparing courses for entrance exams for incoming students at Prague University of Economics and Business in the Czech Republic. All students who want study at this university have to pass the entrance exams from Mathematics and other subjects depending on their field of study. The Department of Mathematics prepare these courses for the Mathematics part of the exams. Passing these courses increases the possibility of success of students during the entrance exams.

During the coronavirus pandemic period we taught the course online. In this article, we present the situation at other czech universities and we compare the entrance exams courses at these universities. Then we describe the on-line teaching of the course and the interactive part of lessons.

Finally, we introduce the interactive quizzes, we compare their success rate and we point out the most problematics problems for students in every topics.

The course included the following topics:
- expressions processing,
- linear and quadratic equations and inequalities,
- systems of linear equations,
- arithmetic and geometric sequences,
- exponential and logarithmic functions, equations and inequalities,
- trigonometric functions and equations,
- complex numbers,
- combinatorics,
- analytical geometry,
- word problems.
