Abstract:

The main goal of the study is to present the benefits and barriers associated with the use of Cloud Computing for the organization. As an introduction, cloud computing has been presented as a model for the provision of IT services.The concept of CC was synthetically characterized and its basic features, service offer models and as well as implementation models were discussed. There were prensented selected statistical market data for this type of services in Poland and in the world . The main part of the study is the presentation of benefits and barriers related to the use of the concept of CC in the assessment of individual users. The presented results were obtained on the basis of author's own research carried out among students of the Warsaw University in 2018. The research was performed using the Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI) method in the form of a survey. The questionnaire prepared for the needs of the study was compiled on the basis of research from previous years. Both the benefits and barriers are presented in groups. The benefits were divided into 4 groups, while the barriers into two groups. The results obtained in the article were discussed and summarized in the form of synthetic conclusions.
