Abstract:
The creation of the European Space of Higher Education has enabled a common educational scenario, allowing the mobility of students and the compatibility of European University degrees. It has also needed the alteration of teaching methodologies, concentrating focus on the students and their learning process, the adaptation of university degrees, the inclusion of European credits and the development of competencies aimed at guaranteeing high quality education, integrated training and coherence between the academic profiles of graduates and those of the professionals required.
The student more than ever needs to share learning experiences, both with his fellow students and with his teachers. This requires the development of skills and competencies for teamwork and a greater ability for cooperation and reconciling differing points of view as well as for assuming various roles in life and a suitable and efficient way of communicating with others. Teamwork encourages learning, signifying less risk for the student, and helps them to acquire other competencies which they would not be able to achieve alone.
