Abstract:
European governments are implementing STEM education experiences for the purpose of services improving, costs reducing, user time saving, increasing effectiveness and efficiency in all sectors. This is the expected outcome from each government. In this way, STEM education experiences are at the center of the economic development supported by Information and Communication Technologies. That is why STEM education experiences became one of the primary strategies of the Italian government. This study will show the bottleneck related to STEM education experiences implementation and their impact on the economic development of the south of Italy. The paper will define the STEM education experiences but also, making use of structural indexes, answer the following question: Why in the South of Italy most of STEM education experiences development projects fail? How risks can be reduced? Such a view rejects a stance whereby the STEM education experiences could be regarded as ultimately unchangeable. It must instead be seen as under constant development and re-interpretation. All these topics have been discussed in the paper. Keywords:
