Abstract:
A present trend in education is the utilisation of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), both in teaching and learning of the scientific concepts. In the present work we intent to present the experience referring to this subject, in Romanian education. First of all, we discuss some basic communication skills having a good impact in the relationship teacher-students. The education methods involving ICT can vary. They depend on the components involved in this process: the computer, as basic tool, and software, including applications developed for education in different programming languages. A second interesting aspect discussed in this work is related to the specific programmes used in Romanian schools. A few results obtained using applications as: AeL (a Romanian learning platform developed by SIVECO ROMANIA SA), moodle (taking in account that Moodle is a free web application and the educators can use it to create effective online learning sites). For Physics education, mainly, it is very important the opportunity to use LabVIEW software for virtual and real experiments. Some specific applications, as well as some comparisons in the learning performances using different teaching methods are included, too. The final results can give support to the main objectives: improvement of the interest for Sciences, generally, for Physics, particularly, as well as of the learning performances.
