Abstract:
The purpose of this semi-experimental study was to determine differences between two teaching methods including lecture and Mobile learning (M-learning). The samples of this study were 30 students majored in Growing and Productions of Indoor plants selected from Agricultural School of Ravansar township in Kermanshah province. The participants were divided into two groups: experimental group (teaching by mobile) and control group (teaching by lecture). Data were collected by 10 standard questions about Ficus elastica, one of the indoor plants, that should be answered during 10 minutes. Control group was taught by lecture method during 2 hours. An instructional film and a picture sent to 15 students (experimental group) via Bluetooth system. Then post tests were conducted for two groups. T-test used for analyzing data in this study. The results showed that there is a significant difference between two mentioned methods of teaching (t=-3.349; P<0.002). Independent t-test indicated that mobile was more effective than lecture for student learning. This study suggests that mobile-learning could be one of the appropriate methods in recent years.
