Abstract:
This report presents the experiment that was conducted in the application of Papi-Forzani semantic networks for the representation of an environment of historic architecture such as the "Ricetto di Candelo" in northern Italy.
The paper shows the methodological approach that was followed to enable a semantic representation tool that was designed for project applications to be used for purely analytical purposes.
During the research, direct surveys of historical and material type were carried out, aimed at building the fundamental set of terms which were to be considered as key to the compilation of a sequence of PF semantic networks.
The semantic representation has been complemented by a photographic campaign and a graphic reconstruction of the elements that have proved more complex or problematic in terms of architecture.
The results of this research have been also used as guidelines for a didactical experience during the class of "Instruments of innovative representation for architectural design" within the degree course in Environmental Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano. Keywords:
