Abstract:
The basis of the proposed paper is the application of new technologies to new academic degrees. Specifically, and in the case of a subject that has been considered as traditional and propaedeutic matter (that is: Roman Law), we propose the creation of a directory of law terminology in a wiki format [1]. This wiki offers a new type of teaching and learning activity that can even mutate into a cross-functional resource for other related subjects. The result is to provide an open wiki on legal terminology that integrates validated entries using rigorous academic criteria.

It entails an innovation in terms of the research in new uses of wiki linked to teaching as it embeds a form of collaborative learning between students and teachers within the use of new technologies. The students are in charge of creating and giving the contents of the wiki, this activity is adressed to develop and evaluate the adquisition of new competencies and knowledge, at the same time the students’ work can be used (under academic supervision and correction) as an on-line dictionary for other educational purposes in Law degree.
