Abstract:
In the century of high technologies social networks take an important place not only in communication, but also in education. First of all they give an opportunity to communicate with different people and get all sorts of information. It is one of the reasons why young people are obsessed with them and spend much time surfing different pages. It should be noted that social networks have a huge impact on the formation and change of a language. The influence of foreign languages, the tendency to prefer television and the Internet to reading, and the process of globalization itself contributed to the word borrowings from different languages and cultures, as well as the creation of new terms. But it should be emphasized that most of new borrowings are registers of oral informal conversation. Initially, changes in language occur orally, and then affect the written language. In education social networks may be used as resources of new words’ creation and as reflections of cultural changes.
The Spanish language nowadays is one of the most widespread languages and under the process of globalization it faces many changes and borrowings, especially from the English language. Changes can be traced in social networks, where the modern generation spends a large amount of their time. In this case social networks can be used at lessons of the Spanish language to focus on word building items and cultural background changes. The main purpose of the article is to point out the functions of social networks as study resources. Results of the investigation are presented by the classification of new word borrowings and cultural semantic patterns as lingvocultural resources at the lessons of the Spanish language as a foreign language. Keywords:
