Abstract:
This study presents a new tool for cultural and creative entrepreneurships, the orange canvas was designed as part of the work the Entrepreneurship Program of the Technological University of Uruguay (UTEC) does.

The Entrepreneurship Program of UTEC, is aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial attitude and promoting the development of entrepreneurships. Its objective is to increase awareness on, develop and enhance the entrepreneurial skills of students and the community, providing knowledge and tools when it comes to entrepreneurship. Therefore, as lecturers we need to be prepared for all sorts of entrepreneurships and be able to adapt business tools in order to prompt the entrepreneurs that come to us.
As a University that enhances entrepreneurship there is an academic need to investigate and iterate the way we teach and work with entrepreneurs. Thus, is the reason we’ve created the orange canvas.

The orange canvas is a business model adapted for creative industries, it aims at helping entrepreneurs to plan and improve their business idea or entrepreneurship. Therefore, we’ve adapted the names of the business model designed by Alexander Osterwalder and we gave a different approach deining talent as a starting point.
In this paper, we analyze the definition of talent, the core of the business model canvas and the link to the orange economy. Talent, associated with the value offered, is the baseline to model a business in the creative industry with a revenue.

Why orange? The term orange economy was created by the Inter American Development Bank (IADB) in a publication about the impact of creative industries on the world's economy. The color was chosen because it relates to creativity and culture and that’s the reason we use it naming our tool.
