Abstract:
Technology enhanced learning (TEL) refers to the support of any learning activity through information and communication technology. The existing definitions for technology enhanced learning are being spread very broad and change continuously due to the dynamic nature of this fast evolving field.
The goal of TEL is to provide socio-technical innovations and improving of efficiency and cost effectiveness for learning practices, regarding individuals and organizations, independent of time, place and pace [G.Wiselin Jiji, Dr.P.Nagarajan, 2010]. The field of TEL therefore describes the support of any learning activity through technology. The main focus of TEL is on the support of these activities by respective technologies. This can range from enabling access to and authoring of learning resources, managing the learning process and learners with technical instruments.
The paper introduce the theoretical background of technologies and learning methods as well as results achieved by their implementation in frame of transfer of innovation. This transfer is being developed by the AVARES, MobiVET, C TEST and NewCAP projects co-funded by the European Comission. The aim of these projects is filling the online training gap between the self-directed learners and VET trainers by developing mobile e-learning 2.0 application for improving knowledge and skills of the trainers and students.This way the projects are support the further development of innovative Web 2.0-based tutoring methodologies, pedagogy approaches and practices thus improving lifelong learning in EU.Keywords:
