Abstract:
The societal development is constantly shifting and extremely dynamic, and it will present engineers with major challenges in form of new roles and functions in both the international and the local work organization and in terms of continuous development of technological knowledge. This research compares the responses of 14 teachers, 18 students and 13 graduates of the current syllabus of Agricultural Engineering at the Huelva University, to questions about specific skills of the branch of agricultural, which appear in the new grade syllabus in Agricultural Engineering of the university. We used a questionnaire of 20 questions. The questions were scored on a Likert-type scale with a range of scores ranging from 1 to 5. Discriminant statistical analysis indicated: (1) equality of means in the 20 responses from the three groups studied, (2) the two canonical functions accounted for only 64.8% and 35.2% of the variance, respectively, (3) 68.9% of original grouped cases were correctly classified. In short, the responses from lecturers, students and graduates have been very similar. Keywords:
