Abstract:
Educative Innovation Projects (IPPs) can be considered as a previous step to the implementation of Degrees in the different Spanish universities. Both PIE's and Degrees take place in the context of convergence to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), being one of the objectives of the projects mentioned the advanced evaluation of the impact that the use of the new ECTS system may have in the performance of students in Degrees once they had been implemented. It therefore seems interesting, a first evaluation of the cited impact on PIE's, so that, once the gathered information related to performance in Degrees it may be established if it complies with expected.
Thus, based on the availability of academic results of several promotions which have been formed in the PIE's, the objective of the work that takes place is to conduct an analysis of the performance in one of the PIE that began in the University of Valencia in 2003-2004 in a course of quantitative type, taking into account some of the profiles of the students, analyzing whether those are affecting the performance of these and detecting if there is a common pattern in the various promotions under study.
