Abstract:
Fourteen years have passed since the Bologna Declaration, the starting point for the creation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). During this time, Spanish universities have witnessed significant changes in the teaching-learning process, by giving more weight to students’ independent learning over lecture-like lessons imparted by the teacher. Thus, a common factor in almost all of them has been the implementation of Educational Innovation Projects (EIP), in which some of the different teaching methodologies subsequently used in degrees in their majority have been utilized.

At the Universitat de València, the EIP for “ADE-Derecho” was implemented during the academic year 2003-2004. Later on, the first year of the new Double Degree Programs (DDP) “ADE-Derecho” is offered.

Given this scenario, the objective being addressed will be the study of the similarities and differences in academic performance between students from the above-mentioned DDP and EIP in two equivalent quantitative subjects, by using both descriptive and inferential techniques. Content and ECTS credits are equal for both the subject corresponding to the PDT and the one from the EIP, which allows for the both of them to be considered equivalent. Finally, the efficiency of some of the educational techniques used is also evaluated.
