Abstract:
A task that has to be done in each school period of a course such as numerical methods is the generation of exercises. Exercises are needed to be used as classroom examples, assignments, or test reagents. A large number of exercises are used to prevent students from having the answers beforehand. The exercises will have their respective solution, which must be found in a period such as the one that is counted to solve an exam. The present paper shows an exercise generator for the topic of curve fitting. The developed software allows the generation of many exercises with its solution, such that the student can solve in the period granted to perform an exam. An approach with a course can be taught is the gamification, this tries to provide a game environment in contexts as varied as: business, education, among others. The exercises obtained are the subject of curve fitting such that they have an interpretation that occurs in a gamified context. The algorithms for the development of the software, its implementation and results obtained for the generation of exercises used in the topic of adjustment of curves for the course of Numerical Methods in Engineering of the UAM Azcapotzalco are presented.
