Abstract:
The scope of the strengthening vocational and technical education in Turkey, the programs of vocational education and training System, was began preparations for the implementation of a modular basis in 2004. Since 2006-2007 academic year, the modular system competency-based education programs have been implemented at all institutions of vocational and technical secondary education. For the purpose of "teacher-centered education" instead of "student-centered education", modular education programs are being implemented in all vocational courses of information technology area, that's in the vocational and technical education. Purpose of this study was to evaluate modular-educational programs and educational materials in terms of some of the attributes (capabilities, limitations, contributions to learning, etc.) in the area of information technology. This assessment was made in accordance with teachers' views and answers (which are given in line with our evaluation benchmarks).Keywords:
