Abstract:
Students entering a particular academic subject have different sets of knowledge and skills, individual preferences and needs regarding their learning style. Therefore, implementing adaptive solutions becomes essential to ensure productive learning and an adaptive learning environment.
As the learning process evolves, changing the curriculum, choosing topics, exercises, and test questions is essential to understand the level of complexity and the relationship between the various concepts of the course and successful learning.
This study uses competency trees as a reference model to score e-learning test questions according to the required knowledge and their associations. Test questions are carefully aligned with the Competency Reference Tree using the order of course topics and thematic questions, allowing for a comprehensive sequence assessment. The proposed learning resource linking to the competency tree solution facilitates the logical arrangement of e-test questions. Accordingly, it becomes possible to correctly distribute the control questions of the educational material throughout the educational process, thereby increasing the prospects for successful learning.
