Abstract:
Up to University (Up2U) is an EC funded project working towards bridging the gap between K-12 education and universities by providing a platform to upgrade the learning experience in the classroom and beyond.

High university dropout rates tend to have close link with inadequate digital skills of the students.

We believe that in order to thrive in higher education, students need to have high level digital skills, which they should have acquired when they leave the K12 education.

Our Next Generation Digital Learning Environment (NGDLE), the Up2Universe, is a set of Moodle integrated online tools that supports K12 students' digital empowerment. These tools will help you integrate project-based learning, flipped classroom and other innovative methods in your classes. You can create more interesting classes and expand the attention span of your students while developing their digital skills.
Our platform is GDPR friendly by design and we provide Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for a smoother user experience.

We have already launched pilots that involve teachers and students from high schools to spice up their classroom experiences. We are currently working on expanding this activity and if you and your school are interested please find out more on how to join!.

Our project consortium includes universities, SMEs and NRENs (National Research and Education Network).
