Abstract:
This paper explores the potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in enhancing programming education. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate whether generative AI tools can effectively and efficiently assist students in solving programming assignments. Through a series of controlled experiments conducted with students enrolled in programming courses, we analyzed the impact of integrating AI-powered code generation tools on student performance. The results demonstrate that leveraging generative AI and large language models (LLMs) significantly improves students’ ability to solve programming tasks more accurately and in less time. These findings suggest that generative AI tools, specifically Amazon CodeWhisperer, can play a crucial role in accelerating the learning process, reducing the time spent on coding challenges, and ultimately streamlining the software development workflow. This study highlights the potential of AI-driven solutions to transform programming education and support developers in achieving higher productivity.Keywords:
