Abstract:
The concern for the ethical commitment of technology to journalism arouses interest among the authors with special attention to the different areas of work in which the tools automate the processes that were traditionally part of the journalist's daily work. Training both active professionals and journalist candidates is the best way to be aware of the advantages and challenges of this fifth wave of Artificial Intelligence.
Digital publishers have already expressed their interest in the automatic generation of texts with the aim of increasing content production. This circumstance allows communication professionals to focus their efforts on tasks such as their own research, critical analysis, review and curation of the final content, with the aim of giving personality to the message with individual interpretation.
This article presents a compilation of the challenges that arise in the 5 booming waves of Artificial Intelligence with a focus on journalism. In addition, control points are proposed that the creator of professional content must take into account the different work areas so that the result does not lose the capacity for transparency and objectivity. A role that provides quality and rigor in the field of communication, as transcendent as in current historical episodes such as the pandemic. It is, therefore, a leap towards the reader's search for confidence in the media, which according to several authors has decreased notably in recent years. At the same time, the answer proposed by some authors is given, such as: To what extent is the use of AI ethical? How to measure the implementation of AI? How to adapt the work environment to the introduction of AI? These and other issues are resolved from an educational umbrella. Keywords:
