Abstract:
Reviewing the subjects that make up the study plan of the journalism career in Spain, a high deficiency of introduction to new technologies is observed despite the efforts in recent years and since the beginning of the 2000s.

In addition, the technological progression goes on its course and in this case the new disruption in the generation of content with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence creates an irreparable technological gap, if the media together with the teaching centers specialized in sciences of communication do not work shoulder by shoulder to bridge this gap.

This article exposes a set of proposals for the progressive introduction in the different levels of the degree in communication that benefits future journalists. Among the benefits is the acquisition of the necessary skills to take their first steps in a work where the automatic generation of texts is key within the current context of publishing news in digital publishers.

In addition, tools are proposed with which journalism teachers should become familiar and therefore incorporate them into their subjects. These tools are incorporated into areas of journalism such as data generation, data processing, production, promotion, moderation, marketing and dissemination.
