Abstract:

The tangible or intangible heritage of an institution, a city, or a country becomes heritage for the world, it is the identity of the peoples; hence the importance of safeguarding, rescuing and disseminating this legacy that will allow present and future generations to know and value culture in its different manifestations.

The Private Technical University of Loja, located in the South of Ecuador, founded in 1971, since its creation has promoted the registration of events, places, people, etc., through photographs, audiovisuals and other formats. It is also the place where several artists have impregnated their art through: murals, sculptures, stained glass windows and other artistic manifestations that are currently part of the country's culture.

The objective of this research project is to recover and disseminate the cultural heritage that the University possesses, through the creation and promotion of an interactive WEB repository, where the user can contribute and be part of the construction of this site, focused on the collection, processing and visualization of data through the integration of tools that help manage, exploit and visualize data such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP in which the user is involved in the identification of images, through a methodology of visual media publication for the generation of a collaborative mapping.

This web platform is part of the objectives of a Smart City that will help the people of a city to collaborate and visualize with the management of the data of their environment, boosting communication and collaboration with the use of technologies. Among the main results we can mention the Web repository, which consists of: the digital photo library categorized by themes and the artistic part: murals, sculptures and stained glass.
