Abstract:
FAIRSCHOOL consists of a collaborative digital platform, designed for institutions such as schools, training facilities, universities and entities where basically you need to connect scholars and teachers.
Whitin FAIRSCHOOL each user registers itself indicating their personal data and can then be linked to the proper institution or class through a unique code. The platform lets you find uploaded resources, organised by type and available both to registered users and guests. There can be different types of users, with different levels of operability within the platform. For example a super user such as a teacher, can set groups of pupils and register them, customise the offering of documentation and materials and evaluate the class results.
The platform is characterised by a strong gamified approach that motivates scholars to participate in the proposed activities. Gamification elements such as avatars, missions, badges, ranking, etc. are displayed to guarantee an engaging and fun visual impact. Some elements can be set to be accessible only if certain conditions are met, making the gamification approach effective and meaningful.
Data Analysis of specific KPIs is available in a dedicated dashboard to show how an educational project or an entire journey is received, explored and performed by its users.
CIUDADANÌA GLOBAL is an adaptation of the platform created for the Ministry of Education of Argentina and hosted on the portal of the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, which promotes the work of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through different tools that are adapted to the specific methodologies of environmental and digital education.
After an initial phase where only Buenos Aires’ schools were involved, the project has been extended to the entire country and involves 478 Private Institutes and 732 Public Schools for a total of 1210 participating institutes.
Global Citizenship is an educational program that promotes quality education to contribute to the formation of global citizenship, enhanced by digital technologies, for the construction of a more just, equitable and sustainable future. It is aimed at teachers and students in the second cycle of primary school.
It develops four priority lines of action:
- Educational content: educational sequences, multimedia resources, video games.
- Free access virtual platform promoting the development of 21st century skills.
- Teacher training instances.
- Pedagogical support.
Teachers have access to comprehensive educational proposals with content, resources and sequences that can link from different knowledge areas.
Furthermore, they are able to design and implement interdisciplinary proposals for articulated work with their colleagues, plan their classes and educational projects, evaluate their students' results and share good practices in learning communities.
Students, for their part, are provided with a digital interactive space in which, through play, exploration, experimentation, research, production and communication of their findings, they will build meaningful learning and empowerment processes as global citizens.
Goals of the Global Citizen Projects are:
- Promote Global Citizenship.
- To promote the articulation of the SDGs.
- Strengthen skills.
- Promote project-based teaching strategies.
- Promote learning communities.Keywords:
