Abstract:
Considering the increase in demands in the Brazilian public sector, which increasingly demands the overcoming of bureaucratized work for faster and more efficient services, in order to modernize the internal procedures of the Brazilian Public Administration, allied to the use of Information and Communication Technologies; teleworking is presented as an alternative of reorganization of the institutional work policy in the public sphere, notably by the flexibility of the labor market and the atomization of labor relations.

In this context, the present study aims to present a proposal to implement teleworking in the Public Prosecution Service of the State of Maranhão, in order to reduce costs with the physical structure of the ministerial units; raise efficiency targets in the public service, requiring productivity rates; contribute to the improvement of social and environmental indicators by reducing the emission of pollutants dispersed in transportation, as well as reducing the consumption of paper and other goods and services; In addition to reducing absenteeism and employee turnover, maintaining talents with greater motivation and quality of life, based on the good practices that contributed to the implementation of this type of work in other public institutions.
