Abstract:
The photographic image has a ubiquitous presence in today's society and is part of the daily life of the contemporary man, be it informing, forming or promoting reflection [1]. Several devices capture and share millions of images all the time around the world. Recent research on the photographic language in the training of Designers, points out that the changes generated in social relations due to digital devices influence the learning processes - formal and informal. In this way, rapid technological advances make the need for teachers, students and professionals to keep up to date, in view of technological innovations [1] [2] [3]. Thus, the need to expand and deepen knowledge about photography and its teaching in the face of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (Digital ICT) is emphasized. Based on the above, this research had the aim of proposing a blended learning model for the teaching of photography in the context of undergraduate courses in Design. Therefore, from a qualitative, applied and purposeful approach, research was carried out in three main phases: literature review on photography and its teaching, prospective study on the teaching of photography in Design degrees, through the adoption of questionnaire, interview and focus group techniques, and the model proposal. As a result, a blended learning model for the teaching of photography was reached, which was structured in two dimensions: the Internal Dimension related to the Teaching of the Language of Photography - represented by the core of the model that deals with the fundamental domains of the teaching of photography and the External Dimension related to Blended Learning, which highlights the fundamental characteristics for the application of the model. Among these characteristics are: the Context, which addresses issues related to the environment in which the discipline is inserted; the Communication, which refers to the way the content will be treated; Digital Technologies, which covers the types of media; and Assessment, which refers to ways for verifying the meaning, impact and value of learning. Thus, the results aim to contribute to the development of educational units that enhance the teaching of photography in a blended learning proposal. Still, it is considered that the result of this research also contributes to the systematic planning in face of the demands of Brazilian legislation. Keywords:
