Abstract:
The digital transformation of education in Africa is an unfolding narrative marked by the advent and proliferation of digital learning labs. This study offers a bibliometric analysis spanning a decade, aiming to chart the landscape of digital education through the lens of learning labs. By examining publication trends, key authors, affiliating institutions, and country-specific contributions, this research constructs a panoramic view of digital learning lab developments across the African continent. The methodology employs bibliometric indicators to unravel the growth patterns, collaborative networks, and thematic concentrations within the domain of digital education labs. This exploration is poised to unveil the pivotal roles played by various stakeholders in shaping the digital educational infrastructure, highlighting significant research outputs, and discerning emerging trends. The findings are anticipated to foster a deeper understanding of the digital educational landscape in Africa, offering insights into the collaborative frameworks, policy implications, and future directions for enhancing digital learning environments. This study's contribution lies in its broad-spectrum analysis, which not only maps out the current state but also sets the stage for future advancements in digital education in Africa.
