Abstract:
This paper describes the concept and the methodology approach for creation and development of transnational lifelong learning curriculum. Design of lifelong learning curriculum has to be based on research study of market needs and employers stand on generic outcomes of their future employees. This represents crucial part of different approach in curriculum development. Educational institutions have to be ahead in time with an aim to deliver knowledge and skills that will create economic growth. This paper describes an example of project approach to this problem as one of its aims is to disseminate the importance of national harmonization and creation of the methodology that fosters synergy between educational programmes and labour market. The results on market needs should be done systematically and continuously, and not only through project applications by individual institutions projects. Furthermore, paper describes project network of seven universities from six EU countries with an aim to create a curriculum with content that should encourage and foster entrepreneurial proactivity especially in the countries where is evident low level in participation rate of adult education, age 35 to 64 (EUROSTAT analyse). The most important goal of this project is to test is it possible to create transnational curriculum with the same impact in different countries. The biggest challenge is to make e-learning platform with an open access (MOOC) to methodology, teaching materials and instructional design that encourages proactivity, generates learning outcomes and improves generic competences. Presented project concept is based on Erasmus+ KA2 and includes universities from Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Estonia. The aim of this paper is to present starting base for this kind of approach with comparative analyse of other similar experiences in design of transnational curriculums.
