Abstract:
The rising wave of unemployment, the increasing poverty levels arising from there coupled with the fact that higher educational institutions in Nigeria cannot absorb all the graduates from secondary education level every year, have resulted in the need for the establishment of Entrepreneurship education at the Secondary Education level in Nigeria. It is important, therefore, to ascertain the extent to which this Entrepreneurship Education has been effectively managed for skills acquisition. This paper will, therefore, investigate, Teacher's Perceptions of the Management of Entrepreneurship Education in secondary schools in Ebonyi State of Nigeria. The study will adopt a descriptive survey design and will utilize three research question on availability and use of facilities and personnel as well as one hypothesis on the significant difference in the perceptions of more experienced (5years>) and less experienced (<5years) teachers. Simple random sampling technique by balloting will be used to sample 1251 teachers from a population of 3752 teacher in Ebonyi State. A researcher made questionnaire, to be called Teacher's Perceptions of Management of Entrepreneurship Education (TPMEEQ), will be used for data collection. Data collected will be analyzed using descriptive statistic of frequency counts and percentages to answer the research questions, while the chi - square statistic will be used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. Based on the findings, some recommendations will be made and the paper will conclude.
