Abstract:
This session will share Ulster University’s endeavours and journey so far to develop Dashboards to inform Widening Participation (WP) Data-Driven Decision-Making.

Ulster University recognises that different stakeholders have different data needs and therefore adopts a collaborative partnership approach to collate, interrupt and visualise data. A working group with representatives for each key stakeholder has been established and an overview of how this operates will be presented.

This session will also showcase some examples of the infographics and visualisations at University, Faculty, School, Programme and Student level that have been and/or are in development for WP decision-making for key stakeholders.

It will also share how engaging with the JISC/HESA analytics labs project , is helping staff at Ulster learn new agile methods and approaches to developing dashboards using tools such as alteryx and tableau. It is hoped that learning resulting from engagement with this project can be built upon and transferred when developing dashboards.

There will be opportunities to discuss lessons learned, developments so far and the next stages for development.
