M-learning is seen as a promising approach that allows students to supplement their academic education with the access to the information network, to training materials and various types of tasks. Currently, special applications have been developed, in particular for smartphones, which are recommended for use in training. Most students actively apply mobile dictionaries, which give both the translation of words and their pronunciation, they also download electronic versions of textbooks, videos in a foreign language, as they have regular access to the Internet. The growing popularity of mobile learning is evident in the numbers of students expressing an interest in it and willing to use the full potential of mobile applications for learning foreign languages. Educational programmes generally fail to realize fully students’ ambitions and are slow to adapt to their needs. The integration of mobile learning into university curriculum is crucial for the advancement of life-long learning.

The methodology to analyse the effects of increasing applications of electronic devices in the process of foreign language learning is based on the reconsideration of forms and methods of students' classroom and extracurricular activities as well as interactive teaching and synergy approach. The main research tools are the analysis of Rossetta-Stone platform content and potential and the processing of the survey data on the sudents’ use of mobiles, curried out by direct polling.,

Results and conclusions:
The application of Rosetta Stone platform in the educational process in Financial University is aimed at improving the professional competence of students and their personal and professional development. The sociological survey on the students’ use of the mobiles carried out in November 2018 showed that the new approach makes the process of foreign language learning more mobile and flexible.
