Abstract:
Some lecturers and researchers from the University of Burgos have joined together for an interdisciplinary approach, in order to carry out the management of Bachelor’s and Master’s Final Projects, and Educational Projects that lead to concrete solutions. The experience of these professionals verifies the necessity of teamwork, decision-making, and communication between different areas of knowledge.

The Erasmus+ Project EURODDIPP-e, co-funded by the European Union, has allowed to confirm successfull inter-facultative and inter-departamental collaboration between the Faculties of Education (Department of Educational Science), the Higher Polytechnic School (Departments of Electro-mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering), and the Faculty of Humanities and Communication (Department of History, Geography and Communication).

One of the Intellectual Outputs of the project arises from the detection of special educational needs in students with impaired upper-limb motor function, as well as preserved intelligence in Elementary Education. The search for resources and tools that allow teachers to carry out the teaching-learning process on the basis of maximum educational inclusion, has led to joining ideas from different (inter-facultative) areas. Similarly, it was considered to bring University students into the creative process. This gives these students the possibility to develop their Bachelor’s / Master’s Final Projects in the field of educational inclusion, exploiting relatively new technologies such as Additive Manufacturing for personalization of specific educational needs.

The application of the aforementioned tools that leads to educational inclusion, as well as the inter-facultative work, are materialized in results such as the personalization of push buttons for computer use. Diagnostic and educational, and personal orientation aspects, together with mechanics, electronics, and Additive Manufacturing play an important role for a successful development. Therefore, a dynamic work environment and an effective decision making capacity is needed. Furthermore, it is of great importance to make the University students feel encouraged by teachers and lecturers, giving them the appropiate guidance and orientation in the different specific fields.
