Abstract:
This paper presents the results from the use of the developed interactive educational material for primary education as an instructional recommendation for acquiring knowledge about 3rd grade's History, regarding mythology. The interactive educational material was created using the digital education platform e-me. The development of this instructional intervention was based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The participants in this research were six students and a mixed research method was applied.
Two research questions were investigated:
Q1: To what extent can interactive educational material improve students’ knowledge on the third grade’s History and Mythology?
Q2: What are the students' views on interactive educational materials?
The first research question was investigated quantitatively, with Pre-Test and Post-Test, counting the scores of the students after completing each instructional unit. The second research question was investigated qualitatively, using the semi-structured interview. After processing the results, the emerging conclusion was that the interactive educational material can enhance students' knowledge on the History and Mythology of the 3rd grade. In addition to that, the students appeared to express themselves positively towards this educational intervention. Finally, it seems that the interactive educational material, can provide new opportunities to the learning process and education in general. Keywords:
