Abstract:
Objectives:
Research aims to create a comparative analysis to identify operative models, share successful experiences and discuss any critical factors of leadership in Italy. The research was born from the need to understand the evolution of school autonomy in Italy and in UK. The aim is to ascertain in what ways head teachers in Italy and in the UK interpret these changes, putting in evidence a relevant organizational culture based on the use of human resources for beneficial management of the school staff. The purpose of the research is to compare the relationship style of school, and self-governance, in Italy and the UK. We examined the differences and similarities between the schools and we came to a conclusion which is that the key factors of the school depend on the organization of the head teacher.
Methodology:
The tools used in this research were interviews and questionnaires. To examine the results of the questionnaires we used statistical tools, they are used to examine the arithmetic mean (X), standard deviation (o '), the coefficient of valuation (CV).
Data collecting was done by a series of semi-structured interviews based on theoretical reference about leadership and organizational culture. The questionnaire was composed of the following items: Section 1: Organizational Culture, Section 2: Organizational environment, Section 3: Management of human resources. Each section has subsidiary topics about: planning ability, ability to guide the learning process, ability to report on the results of the school, ability to create a bridge between the environment and school, ability of the head teacher to assess the performance of their tasks.
The phases of the research are:
The preliminary phase:
• Review of existing literature to frame the issue of research.
• Analysis of existing maps
• Selection of organizations headmasters in Italy
• Selection of the organization of school managers in the UK
• Development and construction of the questionnaire and interviews.
Phase II:
• Sending the questionnaire for organizations to have comparable scoreboards
• Interviews with school managers
• Transcription of interviews
• Development of analytical framework
• Revenue of the arithmetic mean (X), standard deviation (o '), the coefficient of variation (CV).
Phase III:
• drafting of the final research report
• sending the report in draft form organizations for notices and / or clarification
• final review of the research report
• Tab, processing and interpretation of assessment data.
Data Analysis:
After gathering all the information, the answers will be analyzed based on the statistics tables, establishing the frequency of the answers. We will use the item analysis to verify the differences and the similarities. Thereafter grids and tables from this analysis will be completed. Keywords:
