Abstract:
The global focus on sustainability is transforming the labor market, changing professional requirements, and increasing the importance of green skills across economic sectors. The green economy is creating new jobs, redefining existing professions, and emphasizing the need for human resource development and innovation in education. The aim is to identify green skills and trends in education in the context of the green transformation of the labor market. The results point to a growing demand for competencies related to climate planning, sustainability, and environmental analytics. At the same time, these changes are leading to the emergence of new professions and the need to innovate educational programs and develop green skills in the workforce. The paper also presents the results of research focused on Slovak students' interest in green business projects and innovation, analyzing their attitudes and willingness to engage in initiatives that support sustainable entrepreneurship and environmentally oriented solutions.
