Abstract:
In this 5.0 era, teacher and student must be able to adjust progress in the field of science and technology in their teaching and learning activities. The English as a Foreign Language teachers in Indonesia, must innovate learning through technology media to improve quality and efficiency in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. In Indonesia, English is the second language taught by one of them at the university. However, in reality many students find English difficult to learn, especially in speaking skill. This type of thinking can be gradually reduced since ICT has been introduced in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to explore the use of ICT (English Conversation Practice) in improving teaching and learning English speaking skill. This research use the mixed-method approach. Mix methods is a methodology for conducting research that involves collecting, analyzing, and integrating quantitative and qualitative research in a single study. This study uses an open questionnaire and guidelines for interviews with PGSD teachers and students, both inside and outside the classroom. The results found that students felt motivated to learn speaking when using the English Conversation Practice application, because English Conversation Practice made it easy for them to understand material related to their studies and made learning English more interesting. Thus EFL students have a positive perspective on the application. This application is recommended especially if the teacher or student wants to focus on speaking skills, so students are more motivated to develop language learning and digital skills
